About Us
Hello and thanks for visiting our website. We are Dawn and Andrew and this is our business 'Original Skip Material©'.
We set up our business because we absolutely love what we do. We hope that you will love what we do too and that we can one day soon make this our full-time job. We have both always loved old furniture as we believe modern items have no character or charm and to see these beautiful items discarded really upsets us. We decided to do something about it and also the scrapped wood and pallets we found, we could not bare to see all the lovely timber being sent to the furnace! Our aim is to provide you with fantastic quality furniture which we have rescued from being scrapped and we carefully restore or repurpose it. We also hand-make and design our own products from recycled and reclaimed wood. As such, our products are all completely unique, different, stylish, quirky and of very high quality. Nobody else will have the same item that you buy from us. We have a full range of products available that are handmade to order plus furniture items that are one offs for sale. The items that we craft by hand have standard sizes, but should you require something bespoke, either in a different size or something else that we do not have advertised, then please let us know so we can provide you with a free quote and advice with no obligation to buy. Should you have any existing furniture that you would like us to renovate or upcycle, we can also do that for you. Returns and Delivery Information:
We can deliver smaller items (up to the maximum 15kg) via our courier service and the prices are detailed on the individual listings. Larger furniture items are collection only unless you wish to arrange your own courier collection.
Our items are all bespoke and made handmade to order, as such, please understand that once the item is ordered, the item is yours and returns and refunds are not accepted. In the very unlikely event that you receive the item and it is found to be faulty in any way, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can arrange for the item to be repaired to your satisfaction.
